Team SOCOM
The U.S. Special Operations Command Warrior Care Program (Care Coalition) provides Special Operations Forces (SOF) Wounded, Ill, or Injured Service Members and their families advocacy after life changing events in order to navigate through recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration as quickly as possible, strengthening SOF readiness.
Characterized by a command culture that is dedicated to continuously adapting in order to achieve and maintain the highest levels of excellence, USSOCOM established the Warrior Care Program-Care Coalition (WCP-CC) in 2005. In 2013, WCP-CC became the fifth Congressionally recognized Warrior Care Program within the Department of Defense, and received Service-like authority to provide non-medical advocacy and support services for SOF Service Members and their families, after experiencing life-changing wounds, injuries or illnesses (WII). The WCP-CC acts as USSOCOM’s action arm to assist in the recovery, rehabilitation, reintegration, and transition of SOF WII.
