Donald Burns

Master Sgt. Donald Burns, a Marine Corps veteran from Yuma, Arizona, entered recovery following multiple combat- and service-related injuries, including limb loss, traumatic brain injury, and chronic conditions. After a distinguished career spanning multiple deployments and leadership roles, the transition to recovery required a renewed focus on health, resilience, and purpose.

Burns competes in adaptive sports, including archery and wheelchair basketball, using competition to rebuild strength, reinforce discipline, and maintain connection to the military community. Continued training supports long-term recovery and a commitment to representing wounded warriors at the highest levels of competition.
