The 2026 Warrior Games Kick Off June 13 with Support from Thirty-Five Sponsors and Welcoming Nearly 200 Competitors and Their Families to Military City USA

San Antonio, Texas – June 2, 2026 – The 2026 Warrior Games celebrates the resilience, determination, and triumph of wounded, ill, and injured military personnel and veterans who will unite in San Antonio, Texas, for the 15th annual event. The Games symbolize a journey of recovery and purpose for service members who are on their road to recovery and healing, whether from a combat injury, cancer or dealing with PTSD. The Warrior Games bring together competitors from all over the U.S. representing all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces including the: Army, Marine Corps, Navy/Coast Guard, Air Force/Space Force, and Special Operations Command. The main venue will be the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center with several off-site venues from June 13-20. All sporting events are free and open to the public with no ticket required for entry.
The Warrior Games is honored to have two special guests host the kickoff and the send-off ceremonies. San Antonio local Glenn Revell is a strength and conditioning coach known for his work developing high school and collegiate athletes, particularly in football and multi-sport performance programs. Revell has worked with the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine and currently volunteers as the Honorary Commander for the US Air Force Special Warfare Human Performance Support Group. Stephanie Ramos is both an American journalist and military officer known for building careers in national television news and the U.S. Army Reserve. Joining the Army Reserve following the 9/11 attacks, Ramos was later deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, where she served for a year. In 2015, Ramos joined ABC as a multi-platform reporter in Washington, D.C. and has reported for Good Morning America, World News Tonight, Nightline, 20/20, and ABC News Live.
Although the kickoff and send-off are closed events, we welcome the public to join us from 5:30pm-6:30pm on June 13 for the Warrior Games River Rally, a one-of-a-kind celebration on San Antonio’s iconic Riverwalk that officially welcomes competitors, families, sponsors, and fans to the 2026 Warrior Games. Come be part of the excitement and help kick off a week of competition, camaraderie, and unity at the 2026 Warrior Games. Departing from the lowest level of the Convention Center, the River Rally will feature decorated river barges carrying all participating service teams and Warrior Games sponsors as they make their way along the River Walk ending the rally after two laps at the River Center Mall. Spectators are encouraged to line the route, wave flags, cheer loudly, and help create an unforgettable atmosphere as we honor our service members.

The competitors will compete in 11 different adaptive sports including archery, cycling, field, indoor rowing, powerlifting, precision air sports, sitting volleyball, swimming, track, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair rugby with the addition of pickleball as an exhibition sport.
