Sergeant Martinez was born on January 22nd, 1996, in Thornton, Colorado. She went on to graduate from Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan in June 2014. She enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in April 2016. Sergeant Martinez completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in July 2016.
Upon completion, Sergeant Martinez reported to Basic Marine Combat Training aboard Camp Johnson, North Carolina. In August of 2016, Sergeant Martinez reported to the Marine Corps Engineer School, Courthouse Bay, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Upon completion of Basic Electrician school, she earned the Electrician MOS (1141) and graduated as a Private First Class.
From December 2016 to August 2020, Sergeant Martinez was assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 274, Marine Wing Support Group 27, Cherry Point, North Carolina. There, she furthered her career by attending Advanced Electrician Course in October of 2019 at the rank of Corporal. Corporal Martinez re-enlisted prior to departing MWSS274 and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on July 1st, 2020.
In September 2020, Sergeant Martinez reported to 3rd Med Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistic Group, Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Sergeant Martinez was attached to Combat Logistics Regiment 3 in June 2021, where she was the uniform readiness coordinator. In April 2022 received Permanent Change of Assignment orders to Wounded Warrior Battalion – West, Detachment B, where she is currently serving as a Recovery Service Member.
