Christian Delmonte

My name is Christian David Delmonte and I am from The Philippines. I spent some time of my life in Ireland where I graduated high school from 2007 to 2014. In 2014 I moved here in the US, where my home state is Baltimore Maryland and I spent most of my time working to help my parents get their US visa. Since I came here my number one goal has been to join The Marines to challenge myself physically and mentally if I have what it takes. I started going to the gym before I go to work daily. After a few attempts to pass the ASVAB, I had some setbacks from failing it. However, it didn’t stop me from pursuing my goal to become a marine. I went to boot camp back in September 2022 and graduated in December 2022 to become a marine. Later on, it’s an unexpected event happened when I got injured and lost my left eye vision permanently at Marine Combat Training. I am currently a Recovering Service Member at WWBTN-E to fulfill my limited duty in The Marines and focus on setting goals as I transition back to civilian status. One thing about me is I don’t give up so easily and the marines from my command in my unit provided every tool I needed, and the mindset of not giving up on myself. I have no regrets about what I achieved so far and I am looking forward to more challenges in life.
