Machinist’s Mate, Nuclear Power Petty Officer Third Class Issac Cho enlisted on September 11, 2019. He saw the Navy as a great resource to help advance his education and as a stepping stone to a better future. Away from duty, he’s most passionate about golf and music. He’s a scratch golfer and hopes to play professionally one day. He also sticks primarily to drums and keyboard, though he can play 14 instruments in all.
Cho initially joined the Navy adaptive sports program in November 2023 at an introductory camp in Springfield, Va. He was referred into NAvy Founded Warrior after injuries from two motorcycle accidents in 2021 and 2022 resulted in a physical evaluation board (PEB). He approaches adaptive sports with the same passion as golf and music and brings his high energy to each event.
“Navy Wounded Warrior has provided me with an opportunity to meet fellow injured veterans who have supported me and provided me with valuable advice on a way forward,” he said.
During the 2024 Warrior Games, Cho will compete in archery, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair rugby.
