Corine Hamilton

On March 27, 2021, Corine Hamilton’s life changed forever. She became paralyzed due to a spinal cord injury and fell into deep depression. Hamilton thought her life was over until she got to Walter Reed SRU where she was introduced to adaptive sporting. Adaptive sporting gave her a sense of purpose and
contributed to her mental and physical health. Cornie felt like she was a part of a community being around other soldiers who understood what she was going through. Hamilton was able to participate in the 2022 warrior games as well as the 2023 Invictus games and is grateful for each experience. She wants to thank God for strength each day, her mom, family and close friends for their continuous support throughout her journey.
