Sergeant (SGT) Alexander Robinson, hailing from Youngstown, OH, enlisted in 2017 as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic (91B), before being wounded in combat in Syria on March 23, 2023. He arrived at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) with significant internal injuries from a suicide drone strike. Throughout his time in the Soldier Recovery Unit (SRU), he actively worked through a remarkable transformation, both physically and emotionally.
