Chris Parks

1LT Christopher W. Parks is a seasoned Veteran with 25 years of dedicated service in the U.S. Army. Throughout his distinguished career, he served with distinction as both a combat medic and a physician assistant. A decade ago, tragedy struck when he lost his leg to a flesh-eating bacterium, enduring the harrowing ordeal of septic shock twice and a six-week medically induced coma. However, from this adversity emerged an unwavering spirit and determination to overcome challenges. Today, he stands as a beacon of resilience, proving that strength knows no bounds. Alongside his devoted wife, he co-founded The Texas Outlaws, a non-profit wheelchair basketball team, dedicated to providing opportunities for individuals in their community. Beyond his military service, 1LT Parks finds fulfillment in his role as a child of God, as a loving husband and proud father of four adult children and three awesome granddaughters. His commitment to service, both on and off the battlefield, exemplifies the Army values of selfless dedication and leadership.
