Retired Army Sgt 1st Class Gabi Cha spent seventeen years in the Army as a combat medic. After an IED explosion in 2006 Cha had to recover and overcome injuries enduring multiple surgeries in the process. She first competed on Team Army at the Warrior Games in 2018 and Invictus in 2022. Cha will compete in power lifting, wheelchair basketball , wheelchair rugby and swimming, hand cycling and field. She said adaptive sports has given her a second chance at life.
The mantra she lives by today is “One weight at a time”.
