Jeffrey Peters

In August 2021, 10 days following the cvd19 vaccination, Jeffrey Peters suffered a large ischemic stroke that affected multiple regions of his brain. This event left his family in a very tough spot because he was unable to walk or take care of himself and his wife had to put her career on hold to be a full-time caregiver. At the time of my stroke, his three boys ages were eight, five, and two. Jeffrey was blessed to have three young kids at the time of his stroke because they were a huge driving motivation to getting his left side to work the way it does today. With the help of physical and occupational therapy, Jeffrey learned how to walk again. When he entered the SRU, he discovered the power of adaptive sports and through that, his life was forever changed for the better. Competing in Orlando for Team Army would be an honor and a testament to all those who have supported his recovery and still support him. None of this would be possible without his family, friends, and healthcare team, especially Justin Hoover, PT.
