Victoria Camire

Maj. Victoria Camire is a 14-year Army JAG Veteran, who medically retired in 2023. She suffers from PTSD/anxiety/depression, among several physical injuries. A Veteran of the Warrior Games competition, having competed in 2022 and 2023, she says she feels fortunate and proud to have competed in two Warrior Games on Team Army, one of which as an ultimate champion, and one Invictus Games on Team US. Her favorite sport is cycling. She credits the adaptive sports community and ARCP as having a huge positive impact on her life and calls them her second family. She says they helped with her recovery and transition from active duty to being a Veteran while helping her find a new purpose and a sense of identity. “When I first learned about Warrior Games, I thought there was no way I would be selected. Choosing to give myself a chance and try out is one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Don’t underestimate yourself.”
She is the mother to two wonderful children and is now working as a public defender to serve the Veteran and indigent community.
