Jasmine Jew

Machinist’s Mate First Class Jasmine Jew joined the Navy in 2023 because she wanted to accelerate her life and become part of something bigger than herself. She loves her job and all of the new things she learns through it every day. Shortly into her career, she was injured and enrolled in Navy Wounded Warrior to help navigate her rehabilitation. Her care team encouraged her to keep moving, and stay active. They suggested she try adaptive recreation to use sports and teamwork as a healing tool, and it worked. Wheelchair basketball is a new favorite. “The sports we play really help rehabilitate me and motivate me to be stronger. Navy Wounded Warrior is constantly giving me confidence and the ability to feel alive.” In her free time, she enjoys bowling, fishing, cooking, and spending time with family.
