Ashley Wilson

Maritime Enforcement Specialist Second Class Ashley Wilson joined the Coast Guard in 2019. She wanted to be in law enforcement and felt called to help others and be a peace officer. The Coast Guard felt like a destined path. It also led her to her husband. Her life changed after being assaulted, but she did not back down. She fought for herself, spoke at the court martial, and keeps a hopeful attitude. “I give glory to God for the strength I have to fight.” Her care team suggested that she try adaptive sports as part of her recovery and she attended her first camp in January 2025. She grew to call sitting volleyball her favorite adaptive sport. Now she credits Navy Wounded Warrior with giving her something positive to look forward to as she trains for Warrior Games. When she’s away from sports, she enjoys spending time camping or exploring the mountains with her husband and dogs.
