Cesar Borrero

Chief Hospital Corpsman Cesar Borrero joined the Navy in 2000 because he saw the Navy as an opportunity to build a fulfilling and prosperous career. While he was on limited duty status, a friend suggested he contact Navy Wounded Warrior for more personalized support. His care team connected him with the adaptive sports program and he attended several introductory camps in the past several months, where he had grown confident enough to become a trusted voice among his peers. He is especially fond of sitting volleyball. “Navy adaptive sports have given me the confidence to try and do the things I used to enjoy before. This program has given me the support to try again.” Away from adaptive sports, he enjoys listening to music and woodworking in his garage.
