David Duggan

Hospital Corpsman Third Class David Duggan enlisted in the Navy in 2018 because it felt it was a lifetime experience and he did not want to let him pass him by. He initially learned about adaptive sports in the midst of his medical board process, but he did not get involved right away because of his treatments. As an avid outdoorsman who loves camping, fishing, and hunting, Duggan took to precision air sports during his first adaptive sports camp in 2025. A self-professed “adrenaline junkie,” Duggan also likes backpacking, cliff jumping, downhill longboard racing, snowboarding, and surfing. He’s been adjusting these activities to accommodate his new condition so that he can stay involved with his passions. “Being part of Team Navy has given me a sense of camaraderie again that I felt fading since retiring from the Navy. The friendships and contacts that this program has give me is beyond what I could have ever expected.”
