Charlene Stout

TSgt (ret) Charlene Stout served more than a decade in the United States Air Force as a Crew Chief supporting both the -130J and Air Force One missions with precision and dedication. Competing in the Department of War Warrior Games as a member of Team Air Force holds deep personal meaning for Charlene. After losing her ability to run and compete, she faced a period of isolation and loss of purpose following her medical retirement. Through the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program, she found renewed strength and a path back to herself. Returning to the court, especially wearing the Air Force jersey again, represents more than competition; it symbolizes resilience, identity, and a renewed sense of purpose. Adaptive sports have become a vital part of her recovery, helping her reconnect with activities she once lost to injury while rebuilding both physical strength and a sense of community.
