Tania Miranda Banks

MSgt Tania Miranda Banks has 17.5 years of dedicated service in the United States Air Force rooted in leadership, resilience, and care for Airmen. She started her journey in the transportation field working with aircraft cargo. Currently serving as a First Sergeant, a role she considers the most meaningful of her career. After her diagnosis, she was enrolled into the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program where she got involved in adaptive sports at an event at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. Adaptive sports have played an important role in her recovery, helping her rebuild confidence following her illness. Since then, she has competed at two Air Force Trials and the 2025 Warrior Games. Now returning as a second-time Department of War Warrior Games competitor, Tania has gained a deeper level of experience and perspective. The training journey has sharpened her resilience, allowing her to approach challenges with greater focus, and given her the opportunity to mentor and encourage newer athletes and help others navigate their own recovery.
