TSgt Kevin Green serves in the Air Force Reserve Command as a Medical Service professional, bringing 10 years of dedicated service to the mission. His career reflects a continued commitment to service, resilience, and growth, both in and out of uniform. Kevin’s journey with the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program began in 2018 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, where he attended his first CARE Event. Following the loss of his leg, adaptive sports became a powerful force in Kevin’s life. Through competition and training, he rediscovered strength he didn’t know he still had physically, mentally, and emotionally. Adaptive sports brought more than recovery; they restored joy, peace, motivation, and a renewed sense of self. Training alongside other recovering service members facing their own challenges strengthened his resilience and reinforced the importance of teamwork, connection, and purpose. His dedication and performance also earned him a spot on Team US to compete at the 2023 Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany. Competing at the Department of War Warrior Games representing Team Air Force holds deep meaning for Kevin. It’s an opportunity to represent his service with pride, while showing his family, especially his children, that adversity does not define what is possible. The impact has extended far beyond sport, shaping how he leads, communicates, and continues to serve.
