Jomar Rodriguez-Pagan

SrA (ret) Jomar Rodriguez Pagan served in the United States Air Force as a Fire Protection Specialist, completing 5 years of dedicated service. During his time in uniform, Jomar was committed to protecting lives and property, operating in high-pressure environments where readiness and resilience were critical. He joined the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program in 2023 and attended his first event in August 2023 at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. That introduction marked a turning point in his recovery journey. Through adaptive sports, Jomar found a path forward one that strengthened both his physical health and mental resilience. Adaptive sports became more than just activity; they became a foundation for growth. Through consistent effort and competition, Jomar rebuilt confidence in himself and discovered a renewed sense of direction. Surrounded by fellow warriors who understand the challenges of recovery, he found strength in shared experience and the drive to keep improving. Competing in the Department of Defense Warrior Games as a member of Team Air Force for a second time represents a powerful milestone in that journey. For Jomar, it’s a reflection of how far he has come physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s an opportunity to push beyond limits, represent resilience, and continue building toward something greater. More than anything, it reinforces that recovery is not a finish line, but a continuous pursuit of growth and purpose.
