Trey Iacovelli

SrA (ret) Trey IaCovelli served in the United States Air Force as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Crew Chief on F-16 aircrafts for 4.5 years before he was medically retired. During his time in service, Trey developed a strong work ethic and competitive mindset that continues to shape his recovery today. After a severe leg injury due to a car accident, he found a new path forward through adaptive sports after participating in an event with the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program. It challenged him to step outside of his comfort zone, focus on what he can do, and rebuild strength, endurance, and confidence. Competing for a second time at the Department of War Warrior Games as a member of Team Air Force represents more than individual achievement for Trey, it’s about representing a community. He recognizes that while every recovering service member carries their own story, they come together as one team, pushing each other to overcome obstacles and continue forward together.
